Police accused of using provocateurs at summit
A video has surfaced on YouTube indicating that the police used provocateurs at the summit in Montebello.
Canadian Union of Public Employees or CUPE, has uploaded pictures of the altercation that show the arrested “protesters” have the same footwear as the police.
The video and photos show that the protesters are moving into the police line as a union leader challenges their actions and tries to expose them as police officers.

Revolt Video Volume 1 Back Online
video.indymedia.org is down for an 8 count, hopefully it'll get back on it's feet. In the meantime Volume 1 has been uploaded to www.vuze.com and can be downloaded by their bittorrent network.
The download weighs in at 4.36 GB so it's for broadband users only. Once downloaded you will have to burn the .iso file with dvd writing software such as Nero or Dvd Decrypter or similar.
The download is an exact copy of the dvd version unlike the old download hosted on video.indymedia.org which used ratdvd compression. In other words this one is better quality.
The rest of the revolt videos will be moved to the Vuze/Azureus network shortly...

New Shell Blockade Video!
Click the image above to be taken to a page were you can download the video. In order to download the video you need to first install a bittorrent client such as azureus aka "Vuze" or bitcomet.
In future revolt videos should appear in the visionontv channel of vuze.com which is the host that Undercurrents are now using for distribution of dvd quality mpeg 4 videos.
Visit http://visionontv.com/ for more info.
It is even possible to setup an RSS subscription via democracy player and have the latest visionontv videos (including Revolt Videos) download to your pc automatically as soon as they are released.
It is still a bit techy to setup, undercurrents offer a one-click install on their site but still work needs to be done to make things more user friendly

Schnews Report
Revolt were at the Schnews "M for Media Malarkey" gathering in Brighton's Cowley Club.
Many other video collectives were there too such as Schmovies, Undercurrents, The Camcorder Guerrillas, Reel News and Reel 2 Real.
There were screenings from many of the groups including Revolt. We screened a selection of videos
from Volume 2.
There was also many workshops, discussions and great vegan food! More details can be found on the schnews website and the programme of events can be found here.
We even fitted in a little protest, as Gordon Brown was in the neighborhood. The protest was in solidarity with
the Save Omar Degayes campaign. Omar Degayes is a resident of Brighton who is being held in Guantanamo Bay. His brother who is actively trying to get Omar released is pictured below being
interviewed.
It was a great weekend, many thanks to the volunteers at the Cowley Club and Schnews for organising the event.

DCTV Callout
DCTV is calling for volunteers and for resources from Members, to help us get on air - and stay there -in the first week of June. We have about enough funding to purchase the technical equipment needed to get our signal into the NTL system, and a few thousand left to develop some basic materials. But we need a lot more to get going. Once we get on air and prove our worth, we expect a number of funding doors to open. But in the meantime...
Part of the plan is to produce some basic programmes for the launch - with your inputs. But for this we need:
- a basic studio space to accommodate half a dozen people or so;
- Cameras, lights and sound equipment etc. for a few weeks during May
- Editing equipment
But we also need the expertise to operate these, to plan and produce some programmes to get us going. A number of you have such expertise - so please step forward! In addition to the skills needed to operate the above, expertise in animation and graphics would be useful, in web design and website construction.
And, of course, the perennial for all voluntary organisations: fund raising skills, and accounting skills.
Finally we desperately need office space - we expect soon to have to move from our current office to one a few stories up
If you can spare time for these, or can gain access to resources, do let us know. Please provide as much detail as possible concerning:
- the area/resources you could contribute
- if it includes skills, a clear indication of when you might be available in
the coming months.
Please send an e-mail to dctv@dctv.ie
